Start a free private game in your browser. No download or signup needed. Send your friend a room link or a 6-digit code, choose your sides, and get ready to play.

Invite a friend in three steps

1. Open the game lobby and create a room. Choose White, Black, or a random color.
2. Share the invitation link or room code. Your friend can enter the code using the on-screen keypad.
3. Once both players have joined, both select Ready to start.

An empty room expires after five minutes. After both players join, there are two minutes to get ready.

How much time do you get?

Each player starts with ten minutes for the whole game and receives five extra seconds after each move. Your clock pauses during your friend’s turn, then resumes with your remaining time. It does not reset each turn.

If a player disconnects, their clock keeps running on their turn. Return to the same room to reconnect.

Do you need an account?

No. Guests can create and join rooms. Guest access depends on the browser’s cookies. Sign in if you want your games and replays saved to your account and available on another device.
